This cup noodle recreates Nagoya-style kishimen, one of the well-known regional dishes of Nagoya. Kishimen is characterised by its wide, flat wheat noodles, which have a smooth texture and a pleasantly chewy bite.

The soup is based on a traditional Nagoya-style broth made from dried bonito and muro-bushi (a type of dried fish used for dashi), combined with rich soy sauce for a deep savoury flavour. A separate packet of dried bonito flakes can be added at the end to enhance the aroma and umami of the broth.

The cup includes toppings such as fried tofu and spring onion, and uses a convenient lid design that makes draining hot water easier during preparation.
